Health Benefits at the Student Health Center

New York University values the health of its students and is committed to offering all students access to quality healthcare and affordable student health insurance plans that will protect them against the financial hardships that may result from high healthcare insurance. Therefore, students are required to register in degree-granting programs maintain health insurance.

For those who buy NYU Student Health Insurance plan, the following services are available at the Student Health Center at no cost or very reduced cost with the NYU ID card:

  • Primary care and women’s health office visits
  • Some commonly performed laboratory tests
  • Short-term counseling
  • Wellness and health education services

When you’re not feeling well, you can grab you NYU ID card and go visit a primary care for the check up. You just have to make an appointment by calling (212) 443-1000 or going to the appointments website.

You also have access to counseling and wellness services which are both free as long as you make an appointment. If you walk in, it will cost you $10 per visit. In order to save your money, you should book an appointment in advance.

Moreover, the NYU ID card gives you access to free flu shot and health tests such as pregnancy tests, HIV and affordable STI testing. You probably didn’t even know this until now.

NYU Student Health Center is located at 726 Broadway which is near NYU Bookstore.
